Day 1: Arrival in Zanzibar
On in Zanzibar, one of the most beautiful island escapes in Africa, a guide will accompany you to your hostel. From there, you can settle in, take in the atmosphere, and ease into the rhythm of island life. Overall, it is a calm and easy start to your Zanzibar group trip for young travelers.
Day 2: Stone Town and Zanzibar’s History
After breakfast, you will dive into the rich history of Zanzibar, including its role as the site of one of the world’s last slave markets. Then, you will immerse yourself in Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its winding alleys, carved doors, and cultural depth. In this way, the day brings history and heritage to life in a powerful and memorable way.
Day 3: Prison Island and Nakupenda Beach
With breakfast fueling your day, we will explore Prison Island and the stunning Nakupenda Beach, one of the best beaches in Africa. Interestingly, “Nakupenda” means “I love you” in Swahili, which somehow makes the whole experience even sweeter. After that, you can soak up the views, the sea breeze, and the laid-back island energy.
Day 4: Dolphin Spotting and Free Time
Today, the Indian Ocean takes center stage. First, you will head out for a memorable dolphin spotting experience. Afterward, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy as you wish.
Day 5: Spice Farm and Cooking Experience
Did you know Zanzibar is also called Spice Island? Today, you will find out exactly why. You will visit a spice farm, learn more about the island’s famous spices, and gather ingredients to use later in a cooking experience.
Day 6: Pingwe Beach and Forodhani Park
Let’s go to the beach, properly. Today, you will head to Pingwe Beach for sun, sand, and that dreamy Indian Ocean setting Zanzibar is known for. Later in the evening, we will visit Forodhani Park.
Day 7: Turtle Conservation and Nungwi Beach
Today adds another meaningful layer to the trip. We will visit a turtle conservation center on the island and then head to Nungwi Beach. Not only does the day bring you close to nature, but it also highlights the importance of conservation while still giving you time to enjoy one of Zanzibar’s most beautiful coastal spots.
Day 8: Relaxation and Beach Party
After breakfast, the day is yours to relax and enjoy the island at your own pace. Then, when evening arrives, it is time to celebrate at a lively beach party. By this point, the group energy is usually at its best, so it becomes the perfect moment to enjoy one last unforgettable night together.
Day 9: Departure Day
Today marks your parting day. Although the trip comes to an end, the memories do not. Starting as strangers on this island escape, you leave with shared laughs, beautiful photos, and a deeper love for Zanzibar.
