Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Kampala
Upon arrival in Entebbe, one of Uganda’s most vibrant gateway cities, you will enjoy a VIP meet and greet. After that, you will be transferred directly to your accommodation in Kampala, the capital city. It is the perfect way to ease into the adventure while getting your first feel of Uganda’s energy.
Day 2: Jinja and Whitewater Rafting on the Nile
Today, the adventure begins properly. You will travel to Jinja for an action-packed whitewater rafting experience on the mighty Nile. Expect fast rapids, huge laughs, and the kind of group bonding that only happens when everyone is slightly terrified together.
Day 3: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Murchison National Park
After breakfast, you will head to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to Southern White Rhinos and one of Uganda’s most important wildlife conservation areas. This is a rare chance to witness these incredible animals up close while learning about the efforts being made to protect them. Later, you will continue to Murchison National Park for the safari leg of your adventure, ending the day with a beautiful sunset boat cruise on the River Nile.
Day 4: Morning Safari and Boat Ride
Wake up early for a morning safari through the wild landscapes of Murchison National Park. This is when the bush feels alive, and every turn brings the thrill of spotting something extraordinary. Later, you will enjoy a boat ride to the bottom of the falls at the Nile Delta, where the scenery becomes even more dramatic and unforgettable.
Day 5: Journey to Fort Portal
Today, the group travels to Fort Portal, a town often ranked among the best tourist destinations in Uganda. Known for its green scenery and calm atmosphere, it offers a lovely change of pace after the safari experience. It is also a great day to soak in the countryside and enjoy the road-trip side of the journey.
Day 6: Volunteering Experience
This day adds heart to the itinerary. You will spend time volunteering at a charity school serving vulnerable children. While the trip is filled with adventure, this experience offers a different kind of connection.
Day 7: Return to Kampala and Cultural Show
Today, you will return to Kampala. Later on, the group will enjoy a cultural show featuring traditional Ugandan dances. In this way, the evening becomes more than entertainment.
Day 8: Kampala City Tour and Cooking Class
Today is all about local culture. First, you will explore Kampala, famously known as the city of seven hills, and get a closer look at the capital’s personality. After that, you will join a cooking class where you will learn how to prepare a traditional Ugandan meal.
Day 9: Departure Day
Today marks the end of the journey. Although you may have arrived as strangers, Uganda has a way of turning shared experiences into real friendships. So, as this Uganda group trip for young travelers comes to a close, you will leave with unforgettable memories and a deeper connection to Africa.
